Standard Business Card Printing

Vivid Pulse prints standard business cards at our digital printing factory in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, serving individual professionals and business teams in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas. Our standard finished size is 90 × 54 mm, with a minimum of 100 cards for each person or design.

Choose 250 gsm coated paper, 300 gsm coated paper, 315 gsm white cardstock or 300 gsm pearlescent paper. The standard 300 gsm coated option includes matt lamination on both sides. Regular in-stock, unlaminated cards without special processing take 2–3 production working days; laminated cards take 3–5 working days, with artwork approval, payment and cutoff conditions applying.

How to order

  1. Choose the stock, printed sides and lamination. List every person's name or design reference with a quantity of at least 100 cards for each version.
  2. Prepare 90 × 54 mm finished artwork with 3 mm bleed on each edge, giving a 96 × 60 mm file, or request a quotation for a special size. Label front/back and each employee version, or agree the optional design service.
  3. Check the quotation and every proof for names, job titles, contacts, QR-code destinations, dimensions, safe areas and reading orientation. Confirm batch quantities, included finishing, revision limits and any additional charges.
  4. Explicitly approve the final files, provide all required information and meet the payment conditions. Confirm the noon cutoff, production completion date and collection or delivery arrangements before the order proceeds.
Quotation, artwork and delivery arrangements

Quotations and additional charges

These arrangements apply to new orders. Orders already accepted remain subject to their agreed terms. Prices are normally shown in Malaysian ringgit (RM). A calculator total applies to the selected size, material, quantity, printed sides and finishing. Standard configurations may be submitted online; orders proceed after the material, files and delivery arrangements have been checked and the order has been accepted. Submitting an order or receiving an automatic notification does not by itself mean the order has been accepted.

Manual quotations are valid for 7 calendar days unless the quotation states another validity period. If no validity period is shown, check that the quotation is still valid before ordering. Prices for accepted orders will not be increased unilaterally. Custom sizes, mixed designs, per-card data and special finishing require a final quotation.

The base quotation includes one basic technical file check. Orders requiring layout or custom production include the first electronic proof and one minor proof adjustment before approval. Direct document printing follows the final-PDF and print-parameter approval process described below. Original design, substantial changes, redrawing, data cleaning and physical samples are quoted separately.

The business-card design service includes one initial design and a total of two rounds of minor text or position adjustments. This is the total revision allowance for that service; the one minor proof adjustment above is not added to it. A new concept, a different style or a substantial redesign requires a separate quotation. Additional employee versions are priced as agreed.

Delivery, design or file-processing work outside the included scope, physical samples and urgent production are quoted separately. The checkout or formal quotation states whether applicable taxes are included and the amount charged. Any additional charge is explained and agreed before the additional work proceeds.

When production time starts

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, production time starts only after full payment has been received and verified, usable final files have been received, the customer has approved the final artwork, and all other information required for the order is complete. Payment or order submission alone does not mean production has started. Deposits, instalments and approved corporate credit terms follow a separate written agreement.

PVC orders with per-card data also require approval of the data-to-layout mapping and, where relevant, the matching of photographs to records. Once all conditions are met, the first production working day is determined by the cutoff rules below. Sample production and time spent waiting for customer approval are separate from the bulk-production period.

Working days, cutoff and urgent orders

Production working days are Monday to Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and applicable Malaysian or Selangor public holidays are excluded; special opening days or changes are announced separately. All times use Malaysia Time, MYT (UTC+8).

The daily cutoff is 12:00 noon. If all production-start conditions are completed at or before 12:00 noon on a production working day, that day counts as production day 1. Conditions completed after 12:00 noon or on a non-working day start counting from the next production working day.

Urgent orders require confirmation of materials, print-ready files, available capacity, any extra charge and a specific completion time. Production is arranged after the customer accepts those arrangements. Same-day or 1-working-day completion applies only to an urgent order that has been expressly accepted with that completion time.

Collection and delivery

Collection is by appointment at No. 6, Jalan 6/2B, Taman Industri Selesa Jaya, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. Collection hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00, excluding public holidays and special closures. Please wait for the ready-for-collection notification by WhatsApp, telephone or email before visiting, and provide your order number when collecting. After-hours or weekend collection requires separate confirmation.

Delivery is arranged primarily for Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Other Malaysian destinations are checked against the delivery address and carrier coverage. Same-city delivery may use an on-demand service; other destinations use trackable courier services. The delivery charge depends on postcode, distance, actual or volumetric weight, parcel count and the selected service. Delivery is not automatically free, and no single carrier is assumed for every order.

Production completion means printing, finishing, checking and packing are complete. Carrier handover means the parcel has actually been transferred to the delivery service. Customer receipt depends on the destination and delivery service. These milestones are confirmed separately: production days do not include transport time.

Artwork and print tolerances

A print-ready PDF prepared at the finished size is preferred. AI, PSD, JPG and PNG files can be checked for suitability; complex layouts and variable data require a separate check. Prepare artwork in CMYK with bitmap images at 300 dpi at the finished size, embed or outline fonts, and embed linked images. Confirm the converted result when using RGB, spot colours or special effects.

Unless the product-specific template states otherwise, allow 3 mm bleed on every side and keep text and important content at least 3 mm inside the finished cut edge. Extend full-bleed backgrounds to the bleed edge and keep cutting paths and guides separate from printable artwork. Cutting paths, hole positions, spines and binding margins follow the final template.

The general cutting and front-to-back registration tolerance is ±1 mm. Product-specific tolerances and templates take precedence, including those for PVC cards. A screen image or electronic proof is not an exact colour standard. For strict brand-colour requirements, confirm the material and a physical sample first; a universal colour-difference value or zero colour variation is not promised.

Proof approval, samples and changes

The customer checks and approves the final text, numbers, names, images, layout, dimensions, bleed and finishing requirements. Unless proofreading has been expressly agreed by both parties, a basic technical file check does not include proofreading or correction of the customer's content.

Layout and custom-print orders receive an electronic PDF proof. Direct document-print orders are approved against the final PDF, print settings and page list; a separate proof is supplied where rearrangement or a cover requires it. Final approval must identify the final version through the agreed communication channel.

Physical samples are quoted separately according to the material and finishing that can be produced. Sample production and time spent waiting for customer approval are not included in the bulk-production period.

Tell us promptly if a change is needed. After approval, changes to wording, data or layout are checked against the production stage, and any added charge or revised schedule is explained before proceeding. Some changes may no longer be possible once production has started. Errors in customer-approved content and errors caused by our layout or production work are handled separately. We will investigate and address errors caused by our work; correcting those errors does not use the customer's paid revision allowance. The included scope and any additional charges follow the quotation arrangements above.

Product questions

Which stocks and finishes can I choose?

Choose 250 gsm coated paper, 300 gsm coated paper, 315 gsm white cardstock or 300 gsm pearlescent paper. Single- or double-sided printing is priced for the selected stock. The standard 300 gsm coated option includes matt lamination on both sides; this does not determine the printing sides. Gloss, one-sided or no lamination needs a separate option and price. Other stocks do not include lamination by default. Rounded corners, Spot UV and foil require a manual quotation; folded cards use their own product specification.

What dimensions and file settings should I use?

The standard finished card is 90 × 54 mm. With 3 mm bleed on every edge, prepare a 96 × 60 mm file. Keep important content at least 3 mm inside the cut edge; cutting and front-to-back registration tolerance is ±1 mm. Use the matching template, preferably a CMYK PDF with 300 dpi images and embedded or outlined fonts. Label front/back, maintain a consistent reading orientation and confirm landscape/portrait layout and flip direction in the proof. Special sizes require a manual quotation.

How do I order for several employees?

Each person or design requires at least 100 finished cards. Standard quantities are 100, 200, 500 and 1,000; other quantities need a manual quotation. Different names, contact details or layouts are separate versions with separate minimums and pricing. You can combine them in one order, but the company-wide total does not automatically receive a single-version rate. Shared-template employee changes may have an agreed per-version layout or data fee. No unperformed design work is charged when you supply print-ready files for every version.

What does the optional design service include?

The service is charged per base layout and includes one initial draft plus a total of two rounds of minor text or position adjustments. This total does not add the base quotation's one proof adjustment. A new concept, different style or substantial redesign is quoted separately. Extra employee versions carry their own stated fees; unlimited versions or revisions are not included. Without this design service, layout/custom-print orders include the first digital proof and one minor pre-approval adjustment under the base quotation.

What should I check before approving the proof?

Match every proof to the correct employee or design and check spelling, job title, phone number, email and QR-code destination. Check readability at 90 × 54 mm, safe areas, printed sides, lamination and front/back pairing and orientation. The technical file check is not proofreading. Approve the final version through the agreed channel. Later changes need a production-status and cost/schedule check; some are impossible after printing starts. Our own layout or production errors are handled separately and do not use your paid revision allowance.

How long does business-card production take?

In-stock ordinary paper without lamination or special processing: 2–3 production working days. Laminated cards: 3–5 working days. Many employee versions, special papers, large quantities or special finishing need a complete-order schedule. Urgent enquiries prioritise 250 gsm unlaminated stock, ordinary cutting and print-ready artwork; same-day or 1-working-day completion requires express capacity, fee and completion-time acceptance. Verified payment, final approval and all information must meet the 12:00 MYT cutoff. Monday–Friday working days exclude applicable public holidays; later completion counts from the next working day. Sampling, approval waits and transport are separate.

How is a batch priced, and is a box the pricing unit?

The quote is for a specified batch quantity for each person or design, showing the batch quantity and total. A box is not the default pricing unit; if boxed, the number of cards per box is stated separately. Printed sides, paper and laminate are priced as selected, with extra employee versions, rounded corners or special processing itemised. Design, samples, urgent service, tax and delivery follow the shared quotation policy. Review the complete batch specification before accepting the quotation.

Can I request special sizes or finishing?

Send the finished dimensions, quantity per version, artwork and intended finishing for a manual quotation. Special sizes need cutting, template, price and timing checks before acceptance. Rounded corners, Spot UV, foil and alternative laminate arrangements are not automatically included in a standard price. Folded business cards are a separate product and use their own flat/folded dimensions and stock. Additional employee versions or processing can change the complete-order schedule, so confirm all requirements before approving production.

FAQs

Consider the intended use, thickness, stiffness and finish. Paper card, laminated paper and PVC have different handling characteristics and applications. Available specifications follow this product’s options or formal quotation.

Provide the finished size and single- or double-sided requirements. For folded cards, state both flat and folded sizes; for door hangers, confirm the opening and outline. Rounded corners, folds and lamination depend on the options available for the specific product.

Use the confirmed template, label front and back or inside and outside panels, and check reading orientation. Keep text away from cut edges, folds and openings. Carefully check names, phone numbers, menu prices and QR codes in the final proof.

Durability depends on the material and finish. Paper products, laminated paper and PVC differ in moisture resistance. Tell us about food-service, outdoor or frequent-cleaning use and confirm suitable cleaning methods. Avoid unapproved strong solvents or high heat.

List quantities for each design and provide size, material, printed sides and finishing requirements. For different names, numbers or menu versions, supply a clear list and confirm layout or data-preparation charges. Timing depends on final quantities and artwork readiness.
